Terms of Service for Fawazeer

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Fawazeer, including the mobile application, related websites, content, and services made available by IT Consulting and Expertise.

By accessing or using Fawazeer, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Provider Information

Fawazeer is operated by:

In these Terms of Service, "we", "us", and "our" refer to IT Consulting and Expertise. "You" refers to the user of Fawazeer.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

You may use Fawazeer only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you are using Fawazeer on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.

If you are under the age required to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, you may use Fawazeer only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. About the Service

Fawazeer is an Arabic riddle and trivia experience that includes:

  • Themed riddle packs (animals, food, history, science, proverbs, general knowledge) and a daily riddle with streak rewards
  • In-app virtual items such as coins and hints
  • Banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads served by Google AdMob
  • In-app purchases for coin packs, hint packs, and an ad-removal option
  • Global and weekly leaderboards powered by our backend provider
  • Optional cloud sync and cross-device restore of game progress
  • Optional push notifications, including daily riddle reminders
  • Related informational or promotional web pages

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.

4. License to Use Fawazeer

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install, access, and use Fawazeer for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Copy, sell, sublicense, rent, or distribute the app except as permitted by law
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly allows it
  • Circumvent security features or technical restrictions
  • Use the service in a way that harms the app, other users, or our business

5. Intellectual Property

Fawazeer and all related content, including text, riddles, graphics, branding, logos, designs, software, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to IT Consulting and Expertise and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Fawazeer for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the service
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access or manipulate the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Exploit bugs, cheats, modified clients, or unintended mechanics to gain coins, hints, leaderboard rank, or any other unfair advantage; we apply server-side anti-cheat checks and may reset scores or remove accounts that violate this rule
  • Upload, transmit, or share content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these terms.

7. Accounts and Communications

On first launch, Fawazeer creates an anonymous account on our backend so progress can be safely stored and used to power leaderboards. You may optionally upgrade this anonymous account by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping the device and any linked sign-in credentials secure.

You may choose a public display name for the leaderboard. Display names must be 2–20 characters and must not be misleading, offensive, infringing, or designed to impersonate another person or brand. We may rename or remove display names that violate these rules.

You can delete your account and associated cloud data from the Profile screen in the app, which permanently removes your profile, scores, daily completions, and saved game state from our servers.

If you contact us, you agree that we may respond using the contact information you provide.

8. Virtual Items, Ads, and Purchases

Fawazeer may include virtual items, gameplay rewards, rewarded advertising, and paid content.

A. Virtual items

Coins, hints, unlocks, and similar in-app items are part of the service experience. They have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not property rights.

B. Rewarded advertising

If rewarded ads are available, rewards are granted at our discretion or according to the ad flow made available in the app. We may limit, change, or discontinue ad-based rewards at any time.

C. In-app purchases (consumables and one-time entitlements)

Fawazeer offers consumable in-app purchases (coin packs, hint packs) and a non-consumable "Remove Ads" entitlement. Payments are processed end-to-end by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Pricing in your local currency is shown in the app at the moment of purchase, and all billing, taxes, refund handling, and dispute resolution are governed by the platform's own terms.

Except where required by applicable law or platform policy, consumable and non-consumable purchases are final and non-refundable. To request a refund, contact the platform that processed the purchase: Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Google Play account.

D. Auto-renewable subscriptions

Fawazeer offers an auto-renewable subscription branded "Treasure of Riddles" (Arabic: كنز الفوازير, French: Trésor des Énigmes) under our royal entitlement. Two plans are available, both granting the same in-app benefits (ad-free experience, exclusive Royal frame collection, weekly Sage Scrolls):

  • Treasure of Riddles — Monthly: 1-month subscription period, US$3.99 (or local equivalent automatically converted by Apple / Google), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • Treasure of Riddles — Annual: 1-year subscription period, US$29.99 (or local equivalent), no free trial — the annual price itself represents the discount versus monthly.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price for the same period length, unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes / Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free trial. If your plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the then-current price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase the equivalent paid subscription. New subscribers are eligible for at most one free trial per Apple ID / Google account, in line with platform policy.

Managing and cancelling. You can manage your subscription, change plans, or disable auto-renewal in your device account settings:

  • iOS: Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → Fawazeer
  • Android: Google Play app → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fawazeer

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Your entitlement remains active until that date.

Refunds. The current paid period is not refundable when you cancel, except where Apple, Google, or applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Refund requests must be submitted through the platform that processed the original purchase: Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play under your account's order history.

Pricing changes. We may change subscription prices. Where required by Apple or Google policy, you will be notified before any price increase takes effect and given the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies, in line with each platform's standard subscriber-notice requirements.

Restoring purchases. If you uninstall and reinstall Fawazeer, sign in to a new device, or change accounts, you can restore an active subscription using the Restore Purchases button on the paywall or in the Profile screen. Restoration uses your Apple ID / Google account record and does not require a new payment.

Privacy. Subscription billing data, entitlement state, and renewal events are described in our Privacy Policy, Section 4.F.

E. Availability

We do not guarantee that any item, reward, feature, or purchase option (including subscription plans) will remain available for any specific period. Where we discontinue a feature or plan, we will continue to honor entitlements already purchased for the remainder of their paid period, subject to platform policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Fawazeer integrates with third-party services including the Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution and in-app purchases), Google AdMob (advertising), Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In (optional authentication), Supabase (backend hosting in the European Union), and Expo / EAS (build delivery, over-the-air updates, and push notifications). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party services.

Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms.

10. Updates and Changes

We may release updates, patches, or new versions of Fawazeer. Some updates may be required for continued use of the service. We may also revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use after revised terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.

11. Availability and Disclaimer

Fawazeer is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IT Consulting and Expertise and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of Fawazeer.

Where the law does not allow certain exclusions or limitations, some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless IT Consulting and Expertise from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising out of:

  • Your misuse of Fawazeer
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of applicable law or the rights of a third party

14. Termination

These Terms of Service remain in effect while you use Fawazeer. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you have breached these terms, created risk for other users, or exposed us to legal liability.

You may stop using Fawazeer at any time by uninstalling the app or ceasing access to the website.

15. Privacy

Your use of Fawazeer is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully before using the service.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to Fawazeer or these terms will be submitted to the competent courts of France, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

17. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
